Luma Mechanical & Electrical Ltd were appointed to deliver a full mechanical installation for a new Air Handling Unit (AHU) plantroom. The works included the fabrication and installation of all associated copper flow/return pipework, isolation valve sets, strainers, pressure/temperature ports, and commissioning components.

All pipework was installed to a high commercial standard, with precise alignment, correct support spacing, and full integration into the client's existing heating and chilled water network.

This project showcases Luma M&E's ability to undertake complex plantroom builds, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and seamless coordination with the ventilation and controls teams.

Luma M&E were commissioned to upgrade several small commercial areas with modern point-of-use water heaters. Each installation included new copper pipework, isolation valves, safety fittings, and correct discharge arrangements to comply with manufacturer and regulatory requirements.

These units provide efficient localised hot water for sinks and wash stations, reducing energy waste and improving reliability. Each installation was completed with clean, symmetrical pipework and minimal disruption to building operations — a tidy, professional finish suitable for schools, workshops, and commercial spaces.

The project involved removing the existing equipment and installing a new high-efficiency commercial boiler, complete with new pumps, copper pipework, isolation valves, safety components, and a correctly sized expansion vessel.

The finished installation significantly improves system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency while ensuring the school has a safe, compliant, and modern heating setup for years to come.
